A hard, hydrophobic shell over your clear coat
A ceramic coating is essentially a hard shell bonded to your clear coat. Once it cures, water stains, road grime, bird droppings and other contaminants cannot reach the paint underneath. With a quick rinse they simply slide right off, which is where the word hydrophobic comes in.
We install Jade and System X coatings at our Cypress shop on Telge Road. Both were chosen for their durability and their track record in the Gulf Coast climate, where heat, humidity, pollen and hard water do real damage to unprotected paint over a Texas summer.
The hydrophobic surface stops contaminants from bonding, so a rinse does most of the work between washes.
Texas sun oxidizes unprotected paint. A coating puts a sacrificial layer between the clear coat and the elements.
Because the coating is applied over corrected paint, the finish reads deeper and more reflective than wax can manage.
Less scrubbing means fewer chances to introduce swirl marks during routine cleaning.
We look at the paint under dedicated lighting and tell you honestly what correction it needs first.
Hand wash, iron removal and clay bar treatment strip everything bonded to the surface.
Machine compounding and polishing remove the defects you would otherwise seal in permanently.
The coating goes on panel by panel indoors, then cures before the vehicle goes back to you.
No. A coating adds hardness and chemical resistance, but it will not stop rock chips or a deep key scratch. If impact protection is the goal, paint protection film is the right product, and the two are often installed together.
Yes, just less aggressively. A coated car should still get a proper hand wash. The difference is that dirt releases easily instead of needing to be scrubbed off.
Usually. A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, including swirl marks and oxidation. We inspect the paint first and give you a straight answer about what it needs.
We use Jade and System X coatings. We picked them for durability and for how they hold up in Gulf Coast heat and humidity.
