Why Interiors Need Steam, Not Wiping
A vacuum and a wipe-down cleans what you can see. It does not touch what is actually causing the problem in most Spring vehicles, which is organic material worked down into carpet fibres, seat seams, vents and under the seats. That material is what smells, and it keeps smelling after the surface has been cleaned.
Steam cleaning uses high-temperature steam to sanitise and deep clean seats, carpets, headliners and door jambs, reaching crevices ordinary cleaning misses without harsh chemicals or excess moisture. Fabric seats and carpet then get shampooed and extracted, which pulls the dirt and the source of the odour back out of the material rather than pushing it deeper. That is the difference between an interior that is clean and one that has been tidied.

Family Vehicles and Commuter Mileage
The most common request we get in Spring is some version of "it needs to not smell like the kids". That is a solvable problem, and it is solved by extraction and odour neutralisation that targets the source rather than a fragrance laid over the top. Pet odour is the same category and responds to the same approach.
The second most common is a commuter vehicle with a tired interior and paint that has never been decontaminated. Both are fixable in a single appointment if you book enough time, and we will tell you honestly how long that is when we quote.

What Interior Work Costs and Why It Varies So Much
Interior detailing starts at the package prices below, but heavily soiled cabins swing well past them, and that is entirely down to condition. Two identical three-row SUVs can be a three-hour job and an eight-hour job. Extraction on heavily soiled carpet, pet hair removal, set-in stain treatment and odour work all add real time, and none of them can be rushed without doing a worse job.
This is why we ask for photos of the worst areas when you request a quote. It is not to talk you into more, it is so the number we give you is the number you pay. If you tell us there is a milk spill under the second row from last summer, we can plan for it. If we find it on the day, the appointment either runs long or the job gets compromised. Neither is good for you.

Mobile Works Well for Spring
Interior work is ideally suited to mobile service, and that is how most Spring appointments run. We arrive with steamers, extractors, water and power, and work through the vehicle on your driveway. You do not need to be present the whole time and you do not need to provide anything.
The exceptions are the same as everywhere: ceramic coating, paint protection film and vinyl wrap need our Cypress shop for controlled conditions and cure time. Interior ceramic coating is the one interior service that benefits from the shop as well, since it also needs a proper cure before the vehicle goes back into daily use.

Can you get the smell out of my car for good?
In most cases yes, provided we can reach the source. Odour neutralisation targets what is causing the smell rather than masking it, and extraction pulls it out of the carpet and upholstery. Smoke odour that has permeated the headliner and ventilation system is the hardest case and we will be straight with you about expectations before starting.
How long will the interior take to dry?
Steam and extraction leave the interior damp rather than wet, and we give you a realistic dry time at handover. Leaving the windows cracked for a few hours speeds it up considerably. We would rather tell you it needs a few hours than hand back a vehicle that feels finished and smells musty tomorrow.
Will you get every stain out?
Many come out completely. Some, particularly dye transfer from clothing and older set-in stains, improve significantly without disappearing entirely. We will look at them and tell you what to expect before we start rather than after we have taken your money.
Is interior ceramic coating worth it on a family car?
That is the exact use case for it. It adds stain resistance so spills sit on the surface long enough to be wiped up instead of soaking straight into the seat, and UV protection for the dash. It does not replace cleaning, it makes cleaning much easier.
